In all the chaos we are experiencing (stay tuned for a big post) we forgot to post the very important news yesterday that Maya had no TB skin reaction! She was medically cleared for our US Consulate appointment.
Our guide went to our appointment at the US Consulate in Guangzhou this morning with our paperwork. We were just on standby in our hotel room to answer the phone and deal with any problems with our paperwork if the arose. We will go in person to the US Consulate tomorrow (Wednesday afternoon our time) for an oath taking ceremony, swearing that everything in our paperwork is updated and correct and then Maya’s US immigrant visa will be ready to pick up late Thursday afternoon! We will leave Guangzhou for Beijing on Friday. I will post our itinerary for the rest of our trip soon.
